The Justin Bloxom Memorial Garden was used as an outdoor classroom today for 8th grade math students. Students analyzed data from the “Marbles in Water” experiment to discover the linear relationship between the volume of marbles and water displacement.  Students were placed in a real life scenario where they had to create a fish tank and determine how many spherical rocks could displace the water to a specified height.

Parents, thank you for a wonderful school year. Please feel free to contact us regarding any questions, hopes, cares, or concerns. Educating and raising children is a big job. A job that requires schools and families to work together closely to be successful. I hope you will agree, if you do not already know, that North DeSoto Middle is a family friendly school, and parental involvement is treasured. Thank you for the honor of working with your young person this year!
